Morris Foon, founder of Foons Photographics was the primary photographer in the Wonthaggi & the local area  between 1960-1990

Prior to opening his own business, Morris worked as photographer with the 'Sentinel Newspaper'.  Closer inspection of his thousands of negatives have turned up many memorable and significant images of the development in Wonthaggi and our surrounding local area.  The buildings, the people, historic events, beach carnivals, trade shows, debutante balls, footy groups etc.

Many great images reside in the archives without accurate details recorded.  If you can help us fill in the details with dates, names and other information about the pictures, we can build up a detailed historic journal for the town.. Please contact us if you can help.
